Up for sale is a vintage Sun Microsystems Model 411 External SCSI Desktop Storage Pack / Expansion Drive (Part Number: 595-2153-05 / R595-2152-01, Serial Number: 226G1796 / 429T1251). Featuring Sun’s classic "dimple" front-bezel design, the slim single-bay Model 411 was engineered to sit beneath or beside iconic Sun workstations of the late 1980s and early 1990s, including the SPARCstation 1, 1+, 2, IPC, IPX, Classic, and LX. Details & Condition: Internal Hard Drive: The original internal SCSI hard drive is installed inside the unit. The exact drive model and storage capacity are unverified, as the chassis has not been opened. Interface & Connectivity: Equipped with dual 50-pin Centronics SCSI ports for easy daisy-chaining and an external push-button SCSI ID selector switch on the rear panel (currently set to 3). Power & Cooling: Integrated auto-switching internal power supply (100–240V AC) with standard IEC C14 power inlet, rocker power switch, and rear cooling fan. Cosmetics: In very good vintage condition overall. Plastic shows light, even age patina with minimal surface wear and no cracks or broken tabs. Original grey feet and rear labels are intact. Functionality: Sold as-is, untested due to a lack of compatible vintage Sun SCSI hardware. Ideal for retrocomputing collectors, restoration projects, or vintage UNIX workstation setups.
