Apple Macintosh

‘Internet Road Map

For sale is a very cool and rare

Apple Macintosh

MacUser’s

Internet Road Map

+ a couple of extra vintage ephemera pieces.

There is a copy of this in the Smithsonian -National Museum of American History….!

…speaking about history, the internet says the majority of these were thrown away, way before recycling was a thing.

We are original owners of this map. I was just going through a lot of my older mac software and this was nested in the mix.

It is pretty amazing to look back at some of the technology history and how it has advanced… and how fast it has changed.

The map is very clean, it has one small crease towards the top that is not part of the normal fold.

It measures folded about 4”x9”, we did not lay it totally flat as to keep the integrity of the piece folded so we did not measure ourselves the full size of the map.

This would be wonderful framed and displayed.

It is a must for any true Apple Macintosh collector.
Please check out our video

Just for kicks we also added a

Apple Facts 4.95 (April 1995) booklet

And

An Overview of Apple Products pamphlet (this itself is loaded with cool photos of 1995 computers and Apple stuff)

From the internet:

MacUser was a monthly computer magazine published by Ziff Davis from 1985 to 1997. This map was included in one of the issues from 1995.

The map's measurements are:

Folded: 4" x 9"

Opened: 25" x 37.5"

Editors: Shelly Brisbin, Jason Snell

Net Surfer: Geoff Duncan

Design: Diane Dempsey

Illustration: K. Daniel Clark

The Six Zones of the Map

The map placed a Mac at the center and branched out into six color-coded thematic regions

• Government Information Zone: Early federal and state online resources.

• Education and Reference Zone: Universities, libraries, and research tools.

• Arts and Humanities Zone: Cultural and creative web destinations.

• Macintosh Resource Zone: Apple-specific help, software archives, and community hubs.

• Business and Commerce Zone: Early commercial storefronts and financial sites.

• Internet Reference / MacUser Magazine: Guides on how the net works, URL breakdowns, and connection tutorials

This would be great to play with and or display in your home.

Enjoy
