The path to victory
Network security
For your peace of mind High-performance hardwareUshering in a new era of home WiFiThe growing number of connected personal and IoT devices has led to an overall increase in network density, pushing the boundaries of the current Wi-Fi standard. The latest 802.11ax standard delivers future-proof technologies, greater network efficiency, faster Wi-Fi speeds, greater coverage and improved battery life for all connected devices, providing a significantly better user experience.
Extremely fast WiFiThe RT-AX88U is a dual-band 4x4 Wi-Fi router that delivers 160MHz bandwidth and 1024-QAM for dramatically faster wireless connections. With a total network speed of around 6000Mbps - 1148Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and 4804Mbps on the 5GHz band, the RT-AX88U is 2.3x faster than a dual-band 802.11ac 4x4 router.802.11ax 4x46000Mb/s

Better coverage Sized for multi-device households With a revolutionary combination of OFDMA and MU-MIMO technology, 802.11ax delivers up to 4x the network capacity and efficiency for heavy data traffic. Previous generation 802.11ac Wi-Fi can only handle one device on each network channel at any given time, making inefficient use of available bandwidth. OFDMA support in Wi-Fi 802.11ax splits each channel into small sub-channels so signals from multiple devices* can be combined and transmitted simultaneously, reducing latency for a smoother, more responsive Wi-Fi experience.

With incredible performance, the RT-AX88U maximizes throughput for the best network performance and accelerates USB data transfer. In addition to LAN port aggregation, the RT-AX88U also supports WAN port aggregation, which combines gigabit WAN and LAN ports to deliver Internet speeds over 1 Gbps*. This eliminates 1G throttling from the WAN port, which is a great option if you have over 1 Gbps Internet from your ISP.* To access WAN port aggregation, the cable modem, router or switch must support the 802.3ad standard. DOCSIS 3.1 is required for best cable modem performance.
