Apple iMac 21.5-inch, Late 2013 — Excellent Cosmetic Condition — Needs Hard Drive Replacement

Includes a wired keyboard and wired mouse. Local pickup only in Deer Park, New York.

COSMETIC CONDITION

The iMac is in excellent cosmetic condition. The body, shell, stand, and screen glass have no dents or physical damage other than a scratch on the back.

CURRENT CONDITION — PLEASE READ

This iMac was working in normal use before I erased its hard drive in preparation for sale. It still powers on and boots into macOS Internet Recovery.

The internal 1TB hard drive reports a failing S.M.A.R.T. status. After erasing the drive, the Catalina installer refused to install macOS because of the reported hardware failure. Photos show the error.

There is currently no operating system installed on the internal drive.

WHAT IT NEEDS

The buyer should plan to replace the failing internal hard drive with a compatible hard drive or SSD and install macOS. Catalina is the latest macOS officially supported by this model.
