Original Applied Engineering TransWarp accelerator card for the Apple II family.

This example is a 1985 Rev A board with the desirable TW1.4 ROM, the latest ROM revision documented for the original TransWarp. It features the onboard R65C02P4 processor and 256K of high-speed RAM.

Vintage Applied Engineering TransWarp accelerator expansion card designed to significantly increase the operating speed of compatible Apple II computers.

The card replaces normal 1 MHz CPU operation with its onboard 65C02 processor operating at up to 3.6 MHz and includes 256K of onboard RAM. It supports selectable operating speeds of approximately 1 MHz, 1.7 MHz, and 3.6 MHz.

This board is marked Copyright 1985 Applied Engineering, Rev A, and contains the TW1.4 firmware ROM. The installed CPU is marked R65C02P4, and the board retains both original 8-position DIP switch banks.

The card came from a large, carefully stored collection of vintage Apple computer equipment. A compatible Apple II system is not currently available for functional testing.
