Up for your vintage collecting hobby is this BYTEK 125-1 programmer with Logicel-64 and LTA-00B. I know very little about these items, you be the expert. I did plug it in the power it up. It went through a self test (and passed). See pictures.
Please note: 2 of the buttons have broken off (shown in pictures).
From AI:The BYTEK Model S125-1 (commonly referred to alongside the base BYTEK S125 series) is a vintage EPROM / PROM gang programmer manufactured in the mid-to-late 1980s by BYTEK Corporation.
Hardware Architecture & Features
Processor & Internals: The main board is driven by a Zilog Z80 processor, a staple CPU of 80s computing and industrial hardware.
Gang Programming: The device typically features ten green EPROM sockets, allowing engineers or production lines to duplicate multiple non-volatile memory chips simultaneously (gang programming).
Interface: It includes a physical hexadecimal keypad, dedicated function keys (such as PORT, ESCAPE, DVICE CHEK, PRGRM, RVIEW, and a large red EXECUTE button), and a small LCD screen for standalone status messaging.
Software & Remote Control:The unit can be operated standalone or controlled remotely via external software. Vintage computing documentation notes that legacy packages like Matthieu Benoit's Promsoft_C archive were specifically designed to drive BYTEK models including the S125 and S135 via computer serial interfaces.
Today, the device is considered a collector's item or a piece of computing history, often featured in Steven Rhine's Rhine Labs hardware teardowns or vintage electronics restoration projects.
