Dell Compellent SC8000 Storage Center Controller – Tested Working

Used Dell Compellent SC8000 enterprise storage controller in good overall physical condition with normal cosmetic wear from previous use. Please review photos for exact condition and 2x Intel Xeon E5-2640 2.50GHz 6-Core processors (12 physical cores total)
• 64GB DDR3 ECC memory
• Dual 750W hot-swap power supplies
• 2x Dell/QLogic DP/N 045GPC 4-port interface adapters
• Additional dual-port Compellent/storage interface adapter installed
• Integrated Intel 10GbE/1GbE networking
• Dell iDRAC
• Compellent SCOS R07.01.12.002 installed on internal boot storage
• No external storage enclosures or drives included

Testing performed:

• Unit powers on and successfully completes POST
• Both Intel Xeon processors detected
• Full 64GB RAM detected at 1333MHz
• Dell ePSA processor diagnostics passed
• Dell ePSA memory diagnostics passed
• MemTest86+ completed one full pass on 63.9GB with 0 errors
• PCIe bus diagnostics passed
• USB diagnostics passed
• Video/VGA diagnostics passed
• All six system fans tested and operational
• Both 750W power supplies tested individually under load – system remained operational on either PSU
• Internal boot storage functional
• SCOS R07.01.12.002 successfully boots and begins Storage Center initialization
• Compellent initialization stages shown during testing completed successfully through InitializeIPC

Network adapters were detected but were not functionally network-tested because the unit was tested without network connections. Dell ePSA displayed network warnings related to the diagnostic environment/connection status.

The system event log contained historical power-supply input-loss and chassis-intrusion events. Both power supplies were subsequently tested individually and operated correctly. Chassis intrusion events are consistent with opening the system during inspection/testing.
