Description:
Genuine Dell DPWC400 PCIe expansion card designed to hold up to four M.2 PCIe/NVMe SSDs.

  • Brand: Dell
  • Model: DPWC400
  • Dell Part Number: 06N9RH / 6N9RH
  • Interface: PCIe x16
  • Drive Support: Up to 4x M.2 PCIe/NVMe SSDs
  • Four M.2 PCIe x4 slots
  • Integrated active cooling fan
  • Includes original plastic cover/shroud
  • Full-height PCIe bracket
  • SSDs are not included

These cards are commonly associated with Dell workstation/server platforms and require a system that supports the necessary PCIe lane configuration/bifurcation for all four drives to function. Dell community references also describe related Dell quad-NVMe adapters as requiring compatible systems and appropriate PCIe support.

Important: Compatibility varies by system. Please verify your Dell model, motherboard PCIe bifurcation support, and SSD requirements before purchasing.

Included:
1x Dell DPWC400 adapter card with fan and cover, exactly as pictured.

This Dell DPWC400 card is for M.2 PCIe/NVMe SSDs, not SATA M.2 drives.

Based on the slot layout and mounting points visible on your card, it supports:

  • M.2 2242
  • M.2 2260
  • M.2 2280 — the most common size
  • PCIe/NVMe, M-key SSDs
  • Up to 4 drives, one per slot
  • Each slot is marked PCIe x4

Examples that should be the right physical/interface type include Samsung 970 EVO / EVO Plus / PRO, Samsung 980 / 990 series, WD Black SN750 / SN770 / SN850, Crucial P3/P5, and similar standard 2280 NVMe drives.

It is not intended for M.2 SATA/AHCI drives such as many older Samsung 850 EVO M.2 models, and it does not appear to support 22110 drives because the board only has mounting positions marked 2242, 2260, and 2280.

One important caveat: to use all four SSDs, the host system usually needs PCIe x16 bifurcation, typically x4/x4/x4/x4. Without that, the computer may only detect one drive or none, depending on the motherboard.
