Travel straight back to 2008 and the definitive era of PC battlestations with an authentic, quad-core legend: an original Dell Inspiron 518 Mid-Tower Desktop PC!

Boasting Dell’s striking late-2000s glossy piano-black front fascia, chrome textured perimeter bezel, and convenient top-loading device docking tray, the Inspiron 518 is one of Dell’s most versatile and upgradeable towers. Under the hood lies the absolute crown jewel of vintage LGA775 gaming: the legendary Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 processor running at 2.40GHz (Kentsfield architecture with a massive 8MB L2 cache and 1066MHz FSB), paired with 4GB of RAM and a spacious 500GB SATA hard drive (465 GB formatted NTFS partition with over 451 GB of free space).

The Core 2 Quad Q6600 is revered in retro computing circles as one of the greatest desktop CPUs ever made. In this system, running a clean installation of Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit, it bypasses the DRM locks, resolution stretching, and driver headaches of modern OS environments. It provides blistering, period-correct performance for demanding mid-to-late 2000s blockbusters like Crysis, Fallout 3, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, BioShock, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, Left 4 Dead 2, Half-Life 2: Episode Two, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, and Portal.

Equipped with dual optical drive bays, a top accessory tray with dual USB ports, front headphone/mic jacks, IEEE 1394 FireWire, gigabit Ethernet, full 7.1-channel surround audio, and native analog VGA video output (ideal for connecting directly to external CRT monitors or vintage 4:3 LCDs), this tower is also fully ready for a dedicated PCIe graphics card upgrade.

The quad-core Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 CPU runs smooth and quiet, all 4GB of RAM are recognized, and the 500GB hard drive reads and writes cleanly with a healthy partition. Front and top USB ports respond promptly, internal cooling fans spin freely, and the onboard VGA port outputs a crisp, clear video signal.

• Cosmetic Condition: Great vintage condition overall. The glossy piano-black front fascia, chrome perimeter trim, and black steel chassis are structurally solid with no cracks or damaged panels. The exterior shows light, normal cosmetic signs of handling, shelf marks, and hairline finish scuffs consistent with careful use and age. Original case badges, top COA sticker, and the rear service tag barcode label are intact and fully legible. Please review the high-resolution photos for an exact look at physical condition.
