Up for sale is a brand new ultra-high performance PCIe Gen4 Solid State Drive/SSD made for industry-standard M.2 2230 NVMe-based PCs, laptops/notebooks, workstations, servers, and gaming consoles. With outstanding 4800 MB/sec max sequential read performance and 4000 MB/sec max sequential write performance, this Kioxia (formerly known as Toshiba) EG6 PCIe Gen 4.0x4 NVMe 1.4 SSD will super-charge your system's performance, chopping boot times (and large program load times) by over 50% versus most of the chintzy, lower-end SSDs that typically ship with new laptops and PCs! Incorporating Silicon Motion's highly regarded SM2268XT Multi-Core ARM-based Dual-Channel 3200MT/s NVMe SSD controller, the Kioxia EG6 delivers performance that rivals that of nearly any other NVMe 1.4 SSD and positively crushes all NVMe 1.3 SSDs! And Kioxia didn't stop there - the EG6 is built on Toshiba/Kioxia's BiCS6 162-layer high-endurance/performance 3D TLC NAND flash that is both faster (2400 MT/S) and FAR more reliable than the cost-reduced (read: crappy) generic and even most name-brand QLC flash incorporated in lesser/cheaper SSDs. Further boosting both the drive's performance and endurance, the EG6 includes a massive dynamic pseudo-SLC write cache, so bursts of incoming writes are processed at speeds within shouting distance of the maximum limit of Gen4 PCIe SSDs. This all results in an excellent endurance rating of 300 TBW for the 512GB capacity drive - critical if you rely on and value the correctness and integrity of the OS/apps/files/data contents of your Solid State Drive! By the way, for those not familiar with this dynamic SLC feature, it is a technology that provides a very large buffer of "hardened" SLC-like flash cells to sustain ultra-high write speeds far longer than SSDs without this technology, effectively "absorbing" incoming write bursts at 4.8GB/sec to later transfer/fold to the primary cells at the native TLC flash's pace. These "hardened" flash cells while in SLC mode provide many times the effective endurance of TLC and QLC mode cells (50,000 to 100,000 P/E cycles vs 3000 for TLC and 1500 for QLC), helping to enable this SSD's manufacturer-guaranteed 1.5 Million Hours MTBF reliability rating!

This Kioxia EG6 SSD supports both S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) and TRIM (Advanced Technology Attachment/ATA command that enables an OS to inform a NAND SSD which data blocks it can erase because they are no longer in use). For data integrity/security, the EG6 supports both TCG Opal and TCG Pyrite encryption algorithms, and also provides a generous 7.4% "over-provisioning" of the 512GB advertised capacity! For power management, the EG6 supports Active State Power Management (ASPM), Autonomous Power State Transition (APST), and PCIe L1.2 Power State for low power draw at idle on mobile platforms.

NOTE: This Solid State Drive was just removed from a one of a large lot of brand new, never used Dell EC24250 AIO PCs that all suffered irreparable LCD impact damage during shipping and are being parted out since replacement LCDs (parts plus installation labor) cost more than the PCs are actually worth! The SSD currently includes Dell's base Windows 11 image for AIO PCs; I can leave this image fully intact, or delete all associated partitions and ship the drive completely blank - your choice!

Measuring a standard 22mm wide x 30mm long, this NVMe 1.4 SSD is fully compatible with all current and recent PCs (desktop and tower), workstations, servers, laptops/notebooks and specific gaming consoles utilizing the industry-standard PCIe 4.0x4 (or later) electrical/NVMe 1.4 (or later) protocol interface and providing sufficient physical clearance. If purchasing for a laptop/notebook computer or traditional PC, please verify that either a mounting point is present supporting 30mm SSDs (often these are single brackets that can be repositioned for 30mm, 42mm, and 80mm SSD lengths) or that a 30mm-to-80mm adapter is available in case only a single 80mm mounting point is provided in your application (these are typically much older systems since nearly all current and fairly recent ones support this smaller form factor). Obviously, this NVMe SSD is also not compatible with much older computers that do not support the NVMe electrical/protocol interface (those systems typically only supported the SATA-3 electrical/protocol interface even in the M.2-like NGFF physical form factor). Note that the device is single-sided (i.e., only one side is populated). This means it both fits within the tight vertical clearances of modern super-thin laptops, and can easily accommodate nearly any third-party heat sink you might choose to use with it in a PC or specific gaming consoles deployment!

Warranty and Return Info

The 30-day warranty included with this Solid State Driveonly covers defects in the item itself not already disclosed (absolutely none inthis case, since it's brand new), and is limited to...

• Replacement of the part with one of similar type/quality if available,

• Repair of the item by seller if possible, or

• Refund of the actual item purchase price if a replacement is not available and repair is not possible.

Choice of remedy is at seller's discretion, and buyer may be responsible for shipping fees. In addition, any warranty claim absolutely MUST be handled directly through the seller -replacement or repairs performed by the buyer or by a third party will not be reimbursed by the seller unless advanced, written approval was granted!

Additional warranty limitations - These may seem obvious, but here they are anyway...

• This warranty does not cover damage caused by the installation of this item by someone unqualified to perform the work,

• This warranty does not cover damage caused by screw-ups like bent pins/connectors caused by mishandling the device,

• This warranty does not cover damage caused by modifications to the device,

• This warranty does not cover damage caused by out-of-spec use (e.g., over-clocking, over-volting, baking it in the summer sun, taking your laptop with you into the shower, etc.).

• This warranty does not cover any undue "aging" of the device which could be brought on, for example, by slotting it into a heavily used data server and accumulating 100s of TB of reads and writes in very short order. So do not hammer this SSD over a few weeks and attempt to return it after having brought the Health rating down by slamming it with a petabyte or so of writes!!! That would be VERY uncool, and the return would be refused!

I generally accept "buyer's remorse" returns of most items if you change your mind about a purchase. The returned item must, of course, be in the exact same condition as when originally shipped (so the S.M.A.R.T. data for this SSD should still indicate essentially the same various "Health" indicators as shown in the included CrystalDiskInfo photo for the drive!), and all such returns must be requested within 14 days of receipt of the item.Additionally, returns may be subject to a "restocking" fee of up to 20% of the total sale price plus shipping. This fee covers the time andequipment necessary to fully retest and recertify the item, any potential itemdepreciation, various fees incurred to relist the item on , and any payment processing feesthat are not refunded to the seller even if your payment isrefunded. Two-way shipping with full insurance coverage where appropriate is the buyer's responsibility. Pleasecontact me within 14 days of item receipt to requesta "buyer's remorse" return.

Finally, for those thinking about swapping this good working SSD for their old broken one and then sending the dud back for a warranty refund, that is simply, absolutely, 100% not goingto work - prior to shipment, this item is extensively photographed, all identifying numbers are cataloged, and special UV and other indelible inks are used to mark random sections of the device. Anyattempts at fraud will be appropriately handled, so don't try!

DOMESTIC U.S. SHIPMENTS:

Insurance to cover the replacement cost of an item lost or damaged during transit is not an optional, separately billable line item during checkout. Therefore, all items of sufficient value automatically carry full insurance coverage for US destinations. This coverage is provided via USPS/FedEx/UPS or ShipCover/other third-party, and is already built into the shipping quote - there is no separate fee charged.

Payment Details

• If using PayPal, I will generally only ship to confirmed PayPal addresses, although exceptions may be made for those with excellent response on a case-by-case basis.

• Cash is OK, but ONLY if you're doing a local pick up. I'm sure you know better than to send cash in the mail!

When using certain non-standard payment methods, there may be a shipment delay to allow time for your payment to be processed (typically a few business days). Transaction response

• I typically leave response for buyers shortly after payment has been made. If I'm particularly busy, that response may be delayed a bit. Please rest assured, though, that I will not forget to leave it!

Although they profess that scores of 4 or better are acceptable, in practice, any score less than 5 results in significantly higher 'Final Value' fees (up to 20% higher), which in turn leads to higher prices for buyers. • Shipping Time: please keep in mind that I have absolutely zero control over how long the US Post Office or other contracted carriers take to actually deliver a package to you once they have it in their possession. All I can promise is that all items are shipped either the same day as payment is received or at worst, the very next business day. Parcel Post, in particular, can take a week or longer to cover the distance between California and the East Coast, so if that poses a problem for you, you may want to opt for one of the expedited shipping options! For international buyers, please be aware that shipping time is impacted greatly by how quickly the customs agents of your country process your package. If they are particularly busy (for example, during the winter holiday season), the added delay can be quite substantial! For whichever shipping option you choose, keep in mind that the 'Shipping Time' score is meant to reflect how quickly a seller posts an item after it has been paid for - not how long the carrier takes to actually deliver the package using the buyer's chosen delivery method!!!
