Cable Note: This card uses 2× SFF-8087 (Mini-SAS, 36-pin) internal connectors. To connect to SATA drives, you will need SFF-8087 to 4× SATA breakout cables (one per connector = 8 SATA connections total). For SAS backplanes, use SFF-8087 to SFF-8087 or SFF-8087 to SFF-8482 cables as appropriate. Cables are not included.
End-of-Life (EOL) Notice: The LSI SAS9201-8i has been discontinued by Broadcom/LSI and is no longer manufactured. It is available as used/refurbished stock only. The card remains widely supported by current operating systems due to the ubiquity of the SAS2008 chipset. Buyers needing new-production 12Gb/s performance should consider the LSI SAS 9300-8i or similar current-generation HBAs.
