For sale is a LaCie 4big Quadra V3 empty RAID enclosure. This listing is for the enclosure only and includes no hard drives.

Included with this unit are the 4 drive trays/caddies, drive screws, power adapter, and USB cable.(Bay 4 shows the ziplock bag of screws tucked into the opening.) The enclosure has been tested with installed drives and is working properly, but it is being sold empty, so you will need to install your own compatible drives.

Important cosmetic note: this enclosure shows heavy to extreme cosmetic wear throughout the housing. There are widespread scratches, scuffs, rub marks, finish wear, edge wear, and other strong signs of heavy prior use on multiple exterior panels. Please review all photos carefully and purchase with the understanding that this is a heavily used enclosure cosmetically, even though it is functionally working.

This is the 4big Quadra V3 model, with USB 3.0 and dual FireWire 800 connectivity. The ports are intact, all feet are present, and all four trays are included. The power adapter appears to be a compatible replacement, not necessarily the original LaCie-branded power supply.

Windows compatibility note: on some modern Windows systems, especially Windows 10, this enclosure may initially have connectivity issues over USB because Windows defaults to the newer UASP driver, which can cause this enclosure’s USB bridge to disconnect or become unresponsive. The fix is simple: in Device Manager, manually change the device to use the standard USB Mass Storage / BOT driver instead of the UASP driver. Once set, Windows remembers that preference for the device permanently. This change is non-destructive and affects only this device.

I also have a second matching enclosure available, and I’m happy to offer a discount for buyers purchasing both or combining this with other items from my store. I have a matching 2TB drive set for these enclosures also available in aseparate listing.
