Memorex OptiFix Pro Motorized CD DVD Video Game Disc Repair Cleaner Open Box

Designed for CDs, DVDs, and disc-based video games, the OptiFix Pro uses powered rotating pads and cleaning or repair solution to remove dirt, fingerprints, residue, and certain surface scratches. The motor automatically shuts off when the selected cleaning or repair cycle is finished.

This is an open-box example with its original retail packaging, AC adapter, instructions, and visible repair/cleaning supplies.

Basic Repair Process

1. Install the purple repair pads.
2. Apply approximately two drops of repair solution to one pad.
3. Place the disc in the machine with the label facing upward.
4. Close the lid and press the Repair button.
5. Allow the motorized cycle to complete.
6. Remove excess moisture with a soft, dry cloth.
7. Follow with a cleaning cycle if necessary.

Basic Cleaning Process

1. Install the yellow cleaning pads.
2. Apply cleaning solution to one pad.
3. Insert the disc with the label side facing upward.
4. Close the lid and press the Clean button.
5. Allow the cleaning cycle to complete.
6. Remove the disc and wipe away remaining moisture.

Important Limitations

This system is intended primarily for light-to-moderate scratches on the clear reading surface of compatible discs.

It may not repair:

• Deep scratches extending beneath the disc’s reflective layer
• Cracked or warped discs
• Disc rot or internal layer separation
• Label-side damage
• Heavily gouged discs
• Discs with manufacturing defects

Repeated repair cycles remove or polish a very small amount of the clear plastic surface. Buyers should follow the original instructions carefully and avoid unnecessary repeated treatments.

The cleaning and repair fluids are original consumable products. Because this is an older open-box kit, the liquid bottles may be partially evaporated, dried, separated, or otherwise less effective than when originally manufactured. The condition and usable quantity of the fluids cannot be guaranteed.

Replacement OptiFix Pro pads and solutions have historically been sold separately. Buyers may need replacement supplies before regular use.
