The goal for this build was to modernize the pc as much as possible while also using some legacy parts to provide the most compatibility possible for old school PC games, while also using more modern components that offer higher reliability than building a pc genuine to the era.

Unlike other windows xp machines you'll see, I've built this solely with gaming in mind. For this reason if you're looking for a windows XP machine  with fully functional online capabilities, with legacy hardware, this pc isn't for you! This is built solely for the gamers out there looking for an XP machine thats great for running your old school pc games/discs.

For starters, the pictures showing game install pop ups are for showing the disc drive and compatibility only, THERE ARE NO GAMES OR SOFTWARE INCLUDED!

This uses a modern DVD disc drive that is in excellent working condition, this is full compatible with all your old school PC game discs and will work perfect for installation and playing.

I have used older DDR3 2GB RAM as this will provide a much lower chance of causing compatibility issues versus larger/newer RAM with the older games, and 2GB is more than enough ram for any XP (or older) era video games. Moving up to newer 4GB RAM can cause a lot of issues in some older games, especially when you get into the windows 98 era games.

I used a more modern SATA 250GB HDD that is emulated to IDE in the BIOS, instead of an older IDE HDD This is a MUCH newer hard drive that will last you a long time. So no worries about an older HDD dying out on you, but still providing greater compatibility for game with the IDE emulation.

This is Windows XP Pro SP3, and this is a LEGIT install of windows XP from a legit Microsoft install CD. No backhanded or iffy installs here, this is 100% authentic.

Please note that while I did build this for gaming in mind, anyone familiar with the Windows 98 - XP era know there will still be games that can have issues, need patches, etc. So I can't guarantee this will run any and every game, only that it will be as compatible as possible.

This has both VGA and display port allowing you to use older AND newer(ish) monitors so you can build the set up however you like, whether that be an older CRT monitor or newer LCD monitors. The choice is yours! Just keep in mind, this is still windows XP, so using a 1080P/1440P/4K monitor will not be ideal. XP just wasn't designed for that.

Lastly, This PC also has an ethernet port that can be used for LAN gaming, but SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR ONLINE USE OR ONLINE GAMING! IT WILL ALMOST CERTAINLY BE HACKED OR WORSE IF YOU TRY TO PLAY GAMES ONLINE! This is meant as an OFFLINE/LOCAL machine to play your PC games

You will get the PC tower ONLY, no other cables or accessories are included.

Lastly, this is a large and heavy item, I offer both UPS and USPS as shipping options, if the shipping cost is high, check both options to make sure you get the best shipping price!
