Offered is a vintage NEC Corporation CDR-1400C 8X CD-ROM drive, manufactured in October 1996. This is a period-correct internal optical drive ideal for a vintage DOS/Windows 95 PC, retro gaming computer, restoration project, or vintage computer hardware collection. The drive remains inside its plastic packaging and molded protective packing and appears exceptionally clean. I see no scratches, mounting marks, or other obvious evidence that the drive was ever installed or used. Because its history cannot be independently verified, it is being described as appearing unused rather than guaranteed NOS/new.Drive details:* Manufacturer: NEC Corporation
