If you own multiple retro computer systems and a single Philips CM8833 MK2 monitor, this device will allow you to use any existing RGB scart cables you have to connect directly to the monitor. This removes the need to purchase a specific Philips CM8833 MK2 for each device, which can be costly. Stereo audio input is provided via the scart socket for devices which support stereo audio. Please note that some devices has low quality Csync so LM1881 circuit must be added inside (available) or your Scart cable must be equipped with LM1881
This adapter is only suitable for devices with an RGB output, used in conjunction with a suitable RGB cable. I have also RGB cables ,if not listed just ask me.
Computers unsuitable for this device are those that have only a composite video output, such as:
- Commodore 64
- Commodore VIC20
- Commodore C16
- Any device using a composite video cable!
