Up for grabs is a bit of an oddity here in the states, a novatech branded laptop based off the Mitac 8050 series chassis. Novatech is usually found in the UK, not US! This is the 8050d model, meaning the base intel extreme2 graphics are upgraded to the ati 9700! Paired with an intel pentium m, this classic combo should be great for retro games!

I put winxp sp3 onto the 40gb drive and it appears to be fully functional, I just can't find the right drivers for this machine. Theres a lot of Mitac 8050 variants and they all got different internal components so finding exactly what you need is difficult. For instance, putting the ati drivers i found do give better colors, but moving windows around is choppy and I was getting random freezes. So I put on the pre-installed windows ati compatible one to let it run smoother, but now the icons and startup screen look weird. Maybe you're a better driver hunter than me and can get it fully working though!!

Given its age, it is expected to have some scuffs or have some quirks. The biggest is the battery is completely bbqd. But without it it just gets a big hole in the back and looks stupid, so its included. The other small thing is the lid latch is hard to open. But at least it still has it.

Thats about it for this unit. Listing includes computer only. It takes any generic 19V 3.xxA plug so it should be easy to run. Otherwise, sold as is due to age and unconfirmed working condition. If you have any questions just ask. Thanks for looking!
