THE GREEN ALPS Second most popular computerkeyswitchin the entire world, after the legendary Blue Alps
ONE AUTHENTIC GENUINESKCL "GREEN ALPS" KEYSWITCHAND TEN HIGH QUALITY"CANADA RED" CLONES
The GREEN ALPS keyswitch is authentic, withthe oval-shaped ALPS emblem on its bottom side. The Canadian clones are high quality, and theyare claimed to replicate the major characteristicsof the authentic GREEN ALPS: LOW CLICKY,MODERATE TACTILITY, and STRONG LINEARITY.
The GREEN ALPS keyswitch was created in 1983 atJapan by the Alps Co., and it was discontinuedin the late 1990s, despite its popularity beingunequaled by other keyswitch manufacturersanywhere in the world. The "Canada Red" clonebegan around 2010, and its high quality exceedsthat of the original Green Alps, in several ways.First, its operational lifetime is claimed at 50million keypresses, as contrasted to 20 millionfor the original Green Alps. Second, its clearplastic housing enables users to illuminate theinside of the keyboard array with LED bulbs.Third, "Canada Red" is identical to the originalGreen Alps in physical size, physical shape, andits twin electrode placement, so it can beinsertedinto any ALPS-compatible keyboard.Fourth, the Green Alps works with less finger-pressure (50g) than the famous Blue Alps,(70g), so faster typing speeds can beachieved with the GreenAlps keyswitch.
