Physically, this VAIO is in good overall condition considering its age. The exterior and interior of the laptop have expected cosmetic wear from age and use including but not limited to scratches, scuffs and rub marks on the entirety of the body. The display cover has noticeable scratches and scuffs. The sides, corners and edges of the bottom case and trim have rub and scuff marks. The flap for the Ethernet and modem ports has detached from its rubber tab. Review all photos to understand the condition of the product being sold.

Functionally, this VAIO is in flawless condition. The CPU and GPU have been refreshed with high quality Honeywell PTM7950 thermal interface material for significantly improved thermal performance and reliability. This VAIO will manage the heat from its high-performance components better than when new with this thermal material and provide the best possible computing performance. An original Sony battery is included with the laptop but does not charge or hold a charge; the computer will need to be connected to an AC adapter at all times or have the battery replaced. A fresh installation of Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 2 has been pre-installed along with many VAIO applications, critical system drivers, Windows updates and compatible NVIDIA drivers on an upgraded 128GB SSD. Some VAIO and model-specific software may be missing due to the unavailability of downloads and recovery media for this laptop. The machine was shipped with Windows XP but is badged as Vista Capable.
