The Sun Blade 1000 can have up to 2 CPUs installed with an 8GB RAM maximum while supporting 2 Fiber Channel HDDs.
Sun Blade 1000 Manufacturer Notes:
  1. The minimum Sun Blade 1000 operating system is Solaris 8 10/00.
  2. The system will not boot without a CPU module in Slot 0.
  3. If only one CPU module is installed, it must be in Slot 0, and Slot 1 should be covered with a CPU Shroud Cover.
  4. Mixing UltraSPARC III speeds in the Sun Blade 1000 is supported.
  5. Mixing UltraSPARC III Cu module speeds is not supported.
  6. Mixing UltraSPARC III and UltraSPARC III Cu modules is not supported.
  7. The 900MHz UltraSPARC III Cu requires OBP >=4.4 version 6.
  8. Support for 1GHz processors is in OBP 4.5 Version 10.
  9. The minimum recommended OBP for 1015/1050MHz is 4.5 Version 16.
Memory Notes:
  1. The minimum requirement is four DIMMs of equal size in any group.
  2. DIMMs can be installed in any group order.
  3. Each group addresses 4GB of memory.
  4. The DIMMs in Group 0 do not need to be the same size as those in Group 1.
  5. The 501-6173/6174/6175 are 13mm taller than other listed DIMMs.
  6. Option 7052A changed from 501-5031 to 501-6109 in August 2003. (The last shipment date of Options 7052A and X7052A was in April 2004.)
  7. Memory slots (Jxxxx) map to same-numbered DIMMs (Uxxxx)
