Vintage 1998 Western Digital Hard Drive Installation Guide & EZ Drive 3.5" Disk
Description
Up for sale is a vintage (or nearing vintage) Western Digital Hard Drive Installation Guide manual from 1998 (October 1998 to be exact) which comes with a large fold out Quick Installation poster along with a brochure/pamphlet type of fold out which is a merchandise trade-in/upgrade return form (which unfortunately has a deal that already expired). Also included is a 3.5" floppy disk which contains the Western Digital EZ Drive Hard Drive Installation Utility Version 9.11WD on it. This manual and disk (or diskette) pertained to a hard drive that was owned and used back in the day which has either been thrown out (due to a developed fault of some sort) or replaced somewhere along the way... I really can't recall what became of that drive. For all I know it may be lying around somewhere; but for the time being I'm simply just selling the accessories that it came with (minus the other things listed in the manual's contents included page... like say the hard drive interface cable and the actual hard drive itself, obviously).
Anyways, all the documentation included in this lot exhibits signs of wear on it from previous use and/or general storage; mostly appearing in the form of foxing (i.e. yellowing) on the pages and/or throughout the covers and whatnot; but generally speaking, the reading material is in pretty good shape; considering its age and whatnot. The disk itself has not been tested (for I don't have a working floppy disk drive to test it out on) and is therefore being sold in as-is condition. However, please note that this disk was kept in a floppy storage case for most of its life, so it's in pretty good condition and from what I can glean simply from pulling back the black plastic tab (as opposed to the usual metal one) on the disk itself (which exposes the actual disk's film and whatnot); there are really no signs of mold or anything of that detrimental nature that could impact the functionality of the disk, so it ought to still be in good working order as these things were pretty much built to last back in the day. I can't, however, vouch for any unexpected file corruption errors though... so this is still pretty much an as-is condition disk either way you look at it.
Anyways, I figure this lot might be useful to any retro computer enthusiast out there; hence the reason I'm pricing it all to move, so please be sure to get in on this deal while it still lasts, for my loss is your gain as they say in the trade!

Furthermore, tracking information is automatically provided courtesy of shipping within a day of having received cleared payment and the packages are dropped off at the post office, UPS store, and/or FedEx facility/drop off point on a Wednesday or Saturday*.
