Vintage 1998 Apple iMac G3 M4984 Green CRT Computer + Keyboard Parts Repair

Description: Vintage Apple iMac G3 all-in-one CRT computer, model M4984, in translucent green, complete with matching Apple USB keyboard. A great late-1990s Apple display piece and a worthwhile restoration candidate. The iMac powers on and boots successfully into Mac OS, as shown in the photos.

The CRT display comes on and produces a clear, usable image. The included Apple USB keyboard is model M2452. No mouse is included.

This computer has NOT been fully tested and is being sold FOR PARTS OR REPAIR ONLY. During testing, the CD-ROM tray did not open when the front eject button was pressed.

Because I did not have a compatible mouse available, I was unable to navigate through the system and perform additional testing of the computer, drives, ports, software or other functions. The computer boots readily to the desktop shown in the photos, but no other functionality is guaranteed.

Please also note that portions of the translucent cabinet do not appear to be seated or snapped together as precisely as I would expect. I am not an expert on these early iMacs and cannot determine whether this is simply the way the case fits.

Please study the detailed photos closely for the exact condition and fit of the cabinet. The case shows normal age-related cosmetic wear including scratches, scuffs, marks, discoloration and some accumulated dirt/dust. There are also several small light-colored marks visible on the translucent green housing.

The keyboard similarly shows substantial age/use wear and would benefit from cleaning. The original attached power cord is present.

Rear/side access cover and connection area are shown in the photos. Bottom identification labels are also pictured. Includes ONLY the Apple iMac G3 computer and matching Apple USB keyboard shown. No mouse, discs, manuals or other accessories are included.

Due to the age of this computer, the limited testing performed, the non-opening CD tray and the cabinet fit issues described above, it is being sold strictly AS-IS FOR PARTS OR REPAIR with no warranty of additional functionality.

This is an increasingly collectible example of Apple’s iconic translucent iMac design and presents very well when powered on despite its restoration needs.
