YIVU CORNE V4.1 Split Keyboard QMK/Vial Wood wrist rests, Tactile+Linear switch
Price: US $89.00
You will receive:
-YIVU CORNE V4.1 Split mechanical Keyboard QMK/Vial compatible with Ash Wood Axis V4 linear switches (see pics for detalis)- 2 wood wrist rests (very comfortable)- 1 key puller- 1 TRS cable (to be connected BEFORE the USB one, otherwise you could fry the ucontroller) to interconnect the two keyboards- 2 extra Ash Wood Axis V4 linear switches (46 installed on the corne + 2 = 48 total)- 87 Gateron Brown 3 pin light tactile switches (in case you don't like the linear one installed) - consider these for free....
All you need is a USB C cable to connect it to your PC.
The good:
- the QMK/VIal is black magic, you can configure whatever you want...even controlling the water temperature while you shower.... :-)- no driver install/SW required, just a browser- good QMK documentation available online- the spilt keyboard relax your posture and is very intuitive once you get familiar with it.- The PCB is a multi layer one and does not suffer form the interference problem of the original Corne V4 (see pics)
The bad:
- you MUST connect the TRS cable before the USB one or you risk to damage the RP2040 (as all the other TRS corne designs)- the case is 3D printed, not the best quality but it is still very solid.- when the keyboard was used through a USB hub or docking station, sporadically it was freezing (once a week or so), especially when the PC was waking up after sleep or power saving.... this problem was not observed in all PCs.... not sure what the root cause could be. I suggest to connect the keyboard directly to the PC. After unplugging and re-plugging the USB cable the problem was solved.- source code is not available (to me), therefore you can't recompile the QMK code to do advanced stuff. I could not factory reset the keyboard, you will need to reconfigure it as you like.
sale starting from 1$ , good opportunity to get one for cheap to give it a try.
Reason for selling: I tried but the corne is not for me, I go back to my TKL.
